  Loco 46112.jpg - Number  46122   "Royal Ulster Rifleman"   - The Royal Scot class was designed by  Henry Fowler and rebuilt by William Stanier.   Photographed on 5th May 1956, with Thames / Waverley. Built Nov 1927 by the North British Locomotive Works at Glasgow for the LMS Railway.  A total of 70 of this class were built in 1927 and 1930; they were designed for express passenger service. In 1948 its shed was Longsight. It's last shed was Carlisle Upperby. Withdrawn from service in Oct/Nov 1964 & disposed of in Feb 1965.
